Korf in the park 2012 kicks off

Last Saturday the Tornadoes hit Knighton Park to support the launch of the new outdoor gym. The weather was very changeable and sunshine gave way to rain turning our little patch of grass into a quagmire!

However, Korfball was still as popular as ever with lots of kids and adults deciding to get their waterproofs muddy to have a go. Jenny and Matt were showing everyone the ropes and as a result were also covered by the end of the afternoon!

We even met Leicester City Mayor Peter Soulsby who came over to see what we were up to.

It was a great afternoon despite the weather and a nice way to kick off Leicester’s tour of the parks in 2012.

We will be visiting Knighton Park again for their Olympic event and their family fun day as well as training in Victoria park over the coming months.
