Notts Uni 3rds 1 – 10 Leicester Tornadoes

Another late night trip to the Uni for the tornadoes this week with the team buoyed by the news that our biggest rivals Magic had suffered a surprise home defeat at the hands of Nott’s Uni 2 (7-11)

Leicester produced an amazing defensive performance throughout holding Uni to 1 first half goal, sadly the first half was extended due to a lengthy injury delay (Nott’s Player) who I’m glad to say is now ok. Despite this delay both sides played some excellent korfball with Leicester being particularly unlucky at times – it appeared that the Korf gods were against us as we peppered the Korf but the first half
came to an end with Leicester being 4-1 up.

In the second half Leicester stepped the up the tempo putting on a defensive to clinic ensuring that Uni didn’t score again whilst scoring 6 additional goals to take a hard fought 10-1 away victory
