Welcome

Formed in Autumn 2007, Leicester Tornadoes is a relatively new club. We are small, friendly and socialable team that is rapidly growing in numbers.

There are two Tornadoes teams and a development team with players ranging in age and experience. If you want to join the team, please get in touch with us!

Leicester Tornadoes play in the East Midlands Korfball Association (EMKA) league and in the summer participate in tournaments across the UK.

Training takes place at the brand new Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Leisure Centre on Braunstone Gate on our specially adapted Korfball hall and in the summer months we train and host our fantastic national summer tournament at Aylestone St James Rugby Club.

For more information on training locations and times clock onto the training information page.

Korfball?!?

Korfball is a fun filled & fast paced mixed gender sport, played indoors or outside.

Each team comprises eight players, four of each gender, who aim to score a goal through a ‘korf’ (Dutch for ‘basket’).

The best way to find out how it works is to come along and try it out! Click onto training details to join one of our sessions and check out the korfball page for more information on how the sport works!
